WorldKit has been selected to undergo development for the
MapCast Studio Project </b><b><br>
</b><br>
The eiProject's LiveMaps team has selected the open source </font><font
face="Lucida Sans Unicode">Flash/GIS </font><font
face="Lucida Sans Unicode">project, <a href="http://worldkit.org/">WorldKit</a>
as a developmental task integrating it with its flag ship project,
MapCast Studio. MapCast Studio provides an array of real time functions
for multiusers including the ability to manipulate maps, set POIs and
to draw over maps.<br>
<br>
Under the MapCast Studio environment, WorldKit will show its real
time broadcasting of GIS maps views including: zooms, pans, POIs,
"search then highlight" and a object driven RSS reader to name a few. A
WorldKit page may be marked up or annotated in real time by 2 or more
parties employing the draw-over-map system (DOMS) using a whiteboard. <br>
<br>
The MapCast Studio/WorldKit
development will be used to help assist scientific research, facilitate
social awareness projects, disease control/monitoring, environmental
studies and emergency
management agencies world wide. </font><font face="Lucida Sans Unicode">You
