It's possible that 4000 points could cause things to slow down, if all loaded at once .. you'll need to experiment.

I just found the plotinterval and set it to zero; duh.. Thanks !
 
I will have about 4000 points on the map. Think there will be any trouble 
with that many?

You have plotinterval set to "0", yes?

Or are you talking 
about  a delay in just processing the RSS file?

    I need to load several hundred 
points.  The points seem to take a long time to load.  Is there ant 
way I can speed up how cast the points load?
