Ok, you are doing a great job. I put the latest worldkit.swf and it works good, but i had discovered what was happeing , the icons, that i use for annotations was taking about 10s to load. Now, i put it directly in the RSS. And the map starts to show at 3s . It is a very good time for me. And the problem is solved. If you had checked the codes, better, because i'll put the new code and keep the icons in the RSS, it will be the best of two. I'll tell you when i have changed the version, then you can see the url again.

Did you download and install the latest worldKit? I still see the older version at that url.

My contention is that zoomify is not actually loading faster, as worldKit and zoomify use the same actionscript calls to load iamges .. it just appears faster for two reasons. One, it loads a single low resolution tile first, before loading the other tiles. worldKit now does that. Two, once the zoomifyViewer.swf has loaded, you won't see any messages about images loading in worldKit, because zoomify handles that directly. In the new version of worldKit, it handles image loading, so you will see more alerts about images loading. If you remove the <loadimgmsg> from the config, the message won't pop up when zooming.
Or I might be missing something? I'm definitely committed to making it work _better_ than it did with zoomify. I've checked in the code .. anything obvious jump out at you?

Mike, thx, it is very useful. The best was if the images loads faster , but, i think it is not easy to develop. If you cannot do it right now, but , it can be made, i will continue with worldkit. What do u think?

I think I see what's going on, and have implemented a fix.
Zoomify creates a single low resolution image at the base of the tile pyramid. For mapilot, it's at
http://www.mapilot.com/worldkit_rio1.00/Zoomifyer/rio/TileGroup0/0-0-0.jpg
Zoomify was loading this in, worldKit has not been. So it apparently looks faster, though it will
still take the same time to load in all of the tiles.
So I added the code to load this image (v3.2-20070306) , and uploaded that to
http://worldkit.org/download/latest/worldkit.swf
Let me know how that works out for you.
btw, mapilot looks really nice, nice job.

Hi, i am using worldkit with zoomify about 6 months and the speed to load the map has decreased, now it loads too much before show the map. Before the "blank" fix, that is already correct, the load speed was good. Is there some way to bring back the zoomify speed?
If i cannot solve this speed problem i'll have to buy zoomify. Because the application speed is very fast.

Hmm, really I hadn't noticed a speed change. What's the url? Wonder if there's something particular about in your config.xml
that would lead to that.
And I'd like to compare using the older version of worldkit.
