[worldKit-dev] Firing in time changes through javascript

Hi all,

I'm persevering with my GeoRSS player application
(http://lists.brainoff.com/htdig.cgi/worldkit-dev-brainoff.com/2007-June/000
297.html) , albeit rather slowly....

I was moving forward with my Flex wrapper, but in the face of a series of
integration issues I've stepped back, and will start off with a plain html
wrapper - tying the components together with javascript, and proving the
javascript comms in and out of WorldKit.

I'm currently held up trying to pass the "indicated time" into Worldkit. Is
there a way to update the WorldKit displayed time from javascript in the
parent html document?

[the bigger picture challenge is that I want to tie in the displayed track
data with the current text entry in a table. I believe the only way for me
to do this is to control the time in the html wrapper page: setting both the
'diary' table and plot to the indicated time]

Superficially, it appears that I need a JTimeComm jscript interface. Is
that's the case, could somebody give me a quick pointer to what development
environment is needed to build a component based on the checked out worldKit
sources? Is there a free Flash development environment? Or do I have to
stump up the cash for Adobe Flash?

Thanks,
Ian.
