Maybe a little offtopic, but 2 tips for worldkit users:
If you want to georeference existing maps try
http://labs.metacarta.com/rectifier which works nice. (thanks to Mikel)
Further if you are looking for a list of available WMS servers to use
with worldkit try http://wms-sites.com/

Riny

Thanks Riny. Also the worldKit doc on WMS links to a "list of lists" at the WorldWind Wiki
http://www.worldwindcentral.com/wiki/WMS_Sources#Additional_lists
At the moment, your mileage may vary with using the Metacarta Rectifier. I'll be looking into
the gotchas there, and perhaps writing up some documentation on that.

Hi,
Looking at http://worldkit.org/doc/layers.php#layer it seems it is
impossible to include multiple WMS (transparent) layers like is possible
in openlayers. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Thanks,
Riny

Hi, i am trying to activate an item with its classification , using:
function activate(args)
{
document.worldkit.SetVariable("JSubComm",args);
}
function layerSwitch(args)
{
document.worldkit.SetVariable("JLayComm",args);
}
like i saw in worldkit.org , but , setting <visible> to false, when i try to activate an item nothing happens. If i set <visible> true, like default, it works. But i need that. When the user enter my site the map should be clean.
thanx for any help and critics,

That's as expected. You'll need to make those items visible first, then activate them, in a single block.
document.worldkit.SetVariable("JLayComm",args);
document.worldkit.SetVariable("JSubComm",args);
The annotations will still be visible after the text disappears. So if you want to make them invisible after,
you'd need to call JLayComm again.
Alternately you could write a new Javascript interface functions. Would be straightforward, with some pointers.

It should be possible with JLayComm. Each WMS would need to be assigned a different "category" attribute.
